Transcurrido un largo tiempo de finalizada la dictadura, Argentina transita un proceso de democratización que, si bien aparece consolidado, incluye déficits en cuanto a la calidad de diversas instituciones, debido a falta de transparencia, diálogo y acuerdos entre diferentes actores políticos.
Por otra parte, los importantes avances en el reconocimiento político y la ampliación de derechos se ven tensionados por una alta polarización política y exclusiones socioeconómicas.
En este marco, FES Argentina actúa para abrir espacios de diálogo plural con el fin de promover consensos acerca de reformas que aseguren mayores niveles de transparencia, incidencia y control ciudadano, así como la promoción y participación de nuevos actores en el escenario social y político y el impulso al desarrollo de una sociedad más equitativa e igualitaria. Para este fin trabajamos con actores claves en el proceso democrático, tales como partidos, sindicatos y colectivos sociales.
Estos son algunos de nuestros proyectos:
Ojo paritario: Desde 2019 apoyamos y acompañamos esta iniciativa de un colectivo de mujeres de diversos partidos políticos y organizaciones sociales que busca monitorear y promover el cumplimiento de las leyes de paridad en Argentina. A través de sus campañas en el sitio web, redes sociales y medios de comunicación, Ojo Paritario es un ejemplo de pluralidad y democracia para construir una sociedad más justa e inclusiva.
Red Argentina de Municipios frente al Cambio Climático (RAMCC): Esta coalición de más de 286 municipios y comunas de Argentina coordina e impulsa planes estratégicos para hacer frente al cambio climático. Desde FES Argentina, creemos que una gobernanza transformadora, debe transversalizar ejes centrales de cara a los desafíos socio-ambientales del siglo XXI.
